About the MSE GSC

The Graduate Student Council (GSC) is a student organization with the purpose of bettering the life of the MSE graduate student body. We aim to advocate for MSE graduate students and make sure they feel like they are a part of a community here at Michigan. We do this by focusing on five core areas of the graduate experience: advocacy, social events, career and professional development, DEI & community building, and mentorship.

GSC also supports MSE Outreach, a joint graduate and undergraduate organization in our department which focuses on STEM and college outreach in Michigan K-12 schools and brings greater awareness to MSE as a possible career opportunity. MSE Outreach Website 

We regularly communicate with the Graduate Chairs, Prof. Mehta and Prof. Qi.
