Jinhong Min receives ECS Summer Fellowship

Ph.D. candidate Jinhong Min, Li group.

Ph.D. candidate Jinhong Min of the Li group was recently awarded the Edward G. Weston Fellowship from the Electrochemical Society (ECS) for his research "Operando Imaging of a Single LiFePO4 Particle Using Interferometric Scattering Microscopy (iSCAT)."

Leveraging the concept of microelectrode arrays from biology, Min has developed a system for electrochemical measurements at the micrometer scale. Using these microelectrodes, he was able to extract kinetic parameters of individual micrometer-sized particles with high throughput.

Min completed a BS in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Seoul (2018) and an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University in 2021.

His research has been recognized with a 2024 Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship at U-M, and he received a Silver Graduate Student Award at the 2023 MRS fall meeting.

Congratulations, Jinhong!
