Two identical calorimeters can be used individually or in parallel to measure thermal properties of specimens.  Specimens can be solid, powder, or liquid; recommended specimen mass is 10-20mg.  Operating range is 5°C to 450°C.  Sapphire reference standards are available for heat capacity measurements.

The DSC 6 analyzes both solid and liquid samples. Solid samples can be in film, powder, crystal, or granular form.

Sample size: 5 - 30 mg

Temperature range: 5°C to 450°C

Heating rate: 0.1 - 50°C/min

Sample atmosphere: External purge of dry nitrogen gas with a flow rate of 20 - 40 cc/min to prevent condensation of water vapor on the measuring cell.
