Current Position:
Lawrence Livermore National Lab
Email: Spraguee@umich.edu Academic Training:
- B.Sc. (2016), Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering, University of California, Berkeley
- M.Sc. (2018), Materials Science and Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
Short Bio:
- Grew up in the California central valley before moving to the Bay area for college. During college I liked to Swing and Salsa dance for fun and continue to be an active member of the Swing dance scene in Ann Arbor.
- Switched into Misra’s Group after working with Henry Sodano in the Aerospace department on 3D printed piezoelectric polymers and working under Jyoti Mazumdar working on characterization of 3D printed copper-iron alloys.
Trivia:
- In high school, I was captain of the badminton team, ran cross country and earned my eagle scout.
- I have driven (mostly) across the country twice, but only ever heading east.
- My parents never let me have a videogame system, and thus I am garbage at basically all video games.
Research Experiences:
- Undergraduate research assistant, Lawrence Berkeley national Lab U.S. High-Luminosity LHC Accelerator Upgrade Project under Ian Pong
- Graduate Research Assistant, University of Michigan, Michigan MASS lab under Henry Sodano 2016-2018
- Graduate Research Assistant, University of Michigan, Center for Research Excellence of Dynamically Deformed Solids (CREDDS) under Jyoti Mazumder (2018-2021) and Amit Misra (2021-present)
