Academic Training:
B.E (2020), Mechanical Engineering, Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
M.S (2024), Material Science and Engineering, University of Michigan.
Short Bio:
- Growing up in Bengaluru, India, I was drawn to engineering, which led me to pursue a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering at Ramaiah Institute of Technology. During my undergraduate years, I developed a deep interest in materials science, particularly in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization. This passion brought me to the University of Michigan for my Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering, where I have explored metal additive manufacturing, thermal-resistant polymer films, and sustainable piezoelectric composites. My research spans optimizing Laser-Directed Energy Deposition for Duplex Stainless Steel, designing high-energy-density actuators, and developing self-healing composites. I aim to integrate advanced processing techniques with materials characterization to engineer high-performance materials for diverse applications.
Research Interests:
- Metal Additive Manufacturing & Microstructure Optimization
- Thin Films & Nano-Scale Coatings for Advanced Applications
- Sustainable and High-Performance Composite Materials
