Biography I was born and raised in southwestern China. Then I moved to the northern China for my undergraduate study in Tsinghua University. I received Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from UNIST, South Korea, in 2022. My research has focused on metallic interfaces (grain boundary and interphase boundary) based on nano/micromechanics. After receiving my B.S. degree, I came to the US and studied as a Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research focused on exploring different deformation mechanisms of intermetallic structural materials based on a combination of microscopy techniques and nano/micro-mechanics. My research discovered the amorphous shear-band formation in Al-Sm system as the primary deformation mechanism and subsequent shear-band behaviors.
