Biography I was born and raised in China. I received my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS)–University of Tsukuba in Japan in 2021. My doctoral research focused on the development of heat-treatable wrought magnesium (Mg) alloys with excellent room-temperature formability. I subsequently held postdoctoral positions at NIMS, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), and Northwestern University. My research expertise spans transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atom probe tomography (APT), and correlative characterization workflows, with a particular emphasis on solute clustering, precipitation behavior, and phase transformations in advanced structural materials. My current research focuses on elucidating microstructural and micromechanical responses in Mg alloys and refractory chemically complex alloy thin films by integrating in-situ micro/nano-mechanical testing with atom-scale characterization techniques.
