(Materials Science and Engineering) University of Michigan, 2014 My thesis focuses on understanding strengthening in magnesium alloys by applying in situ straining in TEM. With the aid of this method, the dislocations interaction with other microstructural features like grain boundary and second phases are virtualized in the real time. This helps us understand the dynamic process for dislocations interaction and contribute to the dislocation dynamics (DD) simulation. This work is under the Center for PRedictive Integrated Structural Material Science (PRISMS) in Ann Arbor I am a practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu (a martial art in combat sport) and an enthusiastic fan of NBA. If sunshine is good, kayaking is also a good option.
