Chang received his B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from Cornell University in 2011.  He received his PhD with the Goldman group, for his thesis, entitled, "Nanoscale Studies of Energy Band Gaps and Band Offsets in Compound Semiconductor Heterostructures"
